The South High School PTA Welcomes You!
Welcome to South High! The primary goal of the South High PTA is to develop a partnership between Parents, Teachers, and Staff. Our students are very fortunate, in that they enjoy the strong sense of community provided by the faculty and staff. Through their involvement with the DGS PTA, Parents have the opportunity to enjoy that same sense of community, along with enhanced communication about school activities, and the sharing of ideas and concerns.
What is the DGS PTA?
The DGS PTA is a group of Downers Grove South High School (DGS) parent volunteers who promote communication between home and school through monthly meetings. We assist with the activities and special functions at the school and raise funds to distribute for senior scholarships.
The DGS PTA organizes volunteers for many of the school’s activities for Students and Staff. To continue to offer these activities, we need your help! Participate and you’ll meet new people, see what really goes on during a school day and enjoy working with the Students and Staff. You’ll be left with a feeling of great pride in our school.

Become a member! Each individual membership is $6.00

Attend a meeting! PTA is the number one voice for parent involvement.

Volunteer! We welcome everyone’s participation -- great or small, day or evening.

The DGS PTA offers Spirit Wear for sale at Fee Payment/Packet Pick-up Day, Parent Conferences Day and at the Incoming Freshman Open House nights.
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something!
