Mustang Way

The mission of Mustang Way at South High School is to foster and promote a positive school climate that enhances student learning through teaching and recognizing positive behavior.
District 99 has elected to join the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Network in order to address the social and emotional learning standards of our students. PBIS is a school-wide, data driven approach aimed at establishing a positive culture where all staff and students have the opportunity for positive interactions and acknowledgements. The basic principles of PBIS include explicitly defining and teaching behavioral expectations, as well as modeling and acknowledging appropriate behavior. At DGS our PBIS program is called Mustang Way.
District 99 is excited to be a member of the Illinois PBIS network and looks forward to establishing and maintaining a more positive school culture for all students and staff.
