SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Library will be closed for AP Testing from Monday, May 7 through Thursday, May 17th.
During these 2 weeks, the only times students will be able to access the library will be after school on: Tuesday 5/8; Wednesday 5/9; Thursday 5/10 from 3:20-4:30
And before school on: Wednesday 5/16; Thursday 5/17 from 7:00-7:55
The library will resume a regular schedule on Friday, 5/18.
There will be a bin by the front entrance of the library for students and staff to return books during this time.
CLUBS / ACTIVITIES
Key Club will begin their final fund-raiser for the year, “Kiss-A-Senior-Goodbye”. For just $1, you can purchase a card and a bag of Hershey’s Kisses to be sent to the seniors (or retiring staff members) of your choice. Sales will start May 7th thru May 17th during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Thanks for all the support you’ve shown Key Club this year!
Have you always wanted to try a yoga class? Would you like to learn some sure-fire ways to relax and have fun? If you answered “yes” to these questions, Zen Zone is for you! We meet on Monday’s in the faculty cafeteria from 3:30 to 4:30. It is open to all students and we provide mats and equipment for you to use. If you are looking for ways to earn PE make-up credits, one yoga class will count as 2 PE make-ups. See your PE teacher for more details. Our last class will be held on May 21st.
There will be a Go green meeting in D376, Tuesday Morning at 7:30am.
ATTENTION ALL DECA MEMBERS! There is arequired DECA meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. in C351. We have lots on the agenda including the pizza luncheon this Thursday and the trip to Great America! You must be in attendance at the DECA meeting tomorrow morning in order to attend the pizza luncheon Thursday. See you tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. in C351 for the fun of DECA!

Poetry Café and Open Mic: May’s Poetry Café has moved from Wednesday, May 9 to Wednesday, May 23. It is officially BRING A BUDDY TO POETRY CAFÉ DAY. Any new audience member will receive a fabulous, fantastic, fresh prize. (AKA We’re making trips to Five Below! Or maybe Dollar General…) FREE CAKE!

If you need service hours or would like to help out in the community, Noah’s Hope Foundation’s 2012 RUN FOR HOPE, will be held on May 20th, on the streets of Downers Grove around the O’Neill Middle School neighborhood. Seven year-old Noah and his six year-old sister, Laine, are battling a rare genetic illness that has ruthlessly robbed them of their speech, balance, and mobility. Help is needed with Set-Up/Tear Down, Registration & Packet Pick-Up, Course Marshalls, Water Station, Refreshment Distribution, Greeting, and Timing. Volunteers will meet at 6:15 a.m. on the grounds of the Downers Grove Swim and Racquet Club and be finished by by 11:00 a.m. Get contact information from the bulletin board outside Student Activities (C149).
