CLASS
The World Languages Department is hosting a breakfast for honored students on Tuesday May 21 at 7:15-7:45 a.m. in the cafetorium. Doughnuts and juice will be served, and we will take students’ pictures so that we can honor you via a display on our bulletin board. Hope to see you there!
Attention all students: As an end of the year celebration for Mustang Way, we will be having full period lunches on Tuesday. Students should report to the cafeteria at the beginning of their assigned lunch period and may exit out the back to the west side of the building or stay inside. There will be several types of games, you can use your stamps to spin a prize wheel, there will be a do it yourself photo booth, and we will have other activities going on as well. The forecast is for a great day so come enjoy some extra time with your friends.
Prom Pictureshave arrived. You may pick them up in the Bookstore.
Students: The last day for Activity Buses will be Thursday, May 23.
The end of the year is near… and the 2013 yearbooks are here! If you pre-ordered a yearbook, stop by the cafeteria after school on Monday, May 20thor before school on Tuesday, May 21stto pick up your copy. You must have a photo ID and no outstanding school fees in order to pick up your yearbook. Haven't ordered a yearbook yet? It isn't too late! Yearbooks will be sold for $45 in the Student Activities office beginning Wednesday, May 22nd. All school fees must be paid before a yearbook can be purchased.
ACTIVITIES
Attention any student who is taking an AP science class next year: Check your school e-mail for information about a mandatory meeting for anyone taking an AP science next year. If you have any questions, ask your science teacher for more details.
Radio Club: All shows at North on Monday, May 20 have been canceled. Shows will continue as normal on Wednesday.
Hey all DGS Whovians, come on out to Doctor Who club this upcoming Monday for our Doctor Who banquet to celebrate our first year together. Feel free to dress up in your favorite Who t-shirt, costume, or Tardis Blue! Bring a snack to share. A314 is your destination. See you there!
Hey ALL DECA members! DECA meeting tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. in the Little Theatre. We will be giving details on the end-of-year party and showcasing written projects! See you tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. for DECA!
Mustang Book Club will meet in the library Tuesday after school. This is our last meeting so please bring a snack to share and summer reading book suggestions.
Listen up all DGS poets! South’s last Open Mic of 2013 is right around the corner. This is your last chance to perform any songs, poems, or other brilliance you have been hiding from the limelight. Come get your free copy of 2013’s Calliope, South’s fine arts and literary magazine. See you next Wednesday, May 22nd, after school in D180. Free lit mag, free cake!
Attention all current National Honor Society members: The end of the year is finally here! We will be hosting a bagel and donut breakfast to acknowledge all your hard work and dedication throughout the year. All junior and senior NHS members are invited to join us on Wednesday, May 22ndin the faculty cafeteria. It begins at 7:10am. See you all there!
ATHLETICS
All girl and boy swimmers, there will be a short meeting in room B 327 on Tuesday May 21stat 7:25 a.m. We will be discussing summer camps and preparation for next year. If you cannot make it to the meeting please see either Coach Krick or Coach Szweda.
For anyone interested in joining the boys cross country team in the fall of 2013, there will be a brief informational meeting on Tuesday morning, before school at 7:30 in room C266. If you cannot attend, please see Coach Caldwell.
There will be a short informational meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd at 7:30am in the Driver Education room. (E-008) Updated summer camp information will be distributed. Please plan on attending this meeting even if you are currently involved in a spring sport. If you are unable to attend please let Coach Stapleton know.
