CLASS
The student recognition breakfast for English Students of the Semester is on Friday, May 17th at 7:30 a.m. in the Cafetorium. Recognized students should come to get their picture taken and enjoy doughnuts and juice.
Students: The last day for Activity Buses will be Thursday, May 23.
The Library will be closed for AP Testing all day, including before & after school through Thursday, May 16. We are sorry for the inconvenience. ALL Library materials are due by Wednesday, May 22. There will be bins outside the library doors for you to return your Library materials.
ACTIVITIES
The next Junior Statesmen of America Meeting will be today after school in D275. We are holding our elections for next year's officers. Make sure you come and vote!
Attention seniors attending the CLEAR Leadership and Transition Workshop on Thursday! Please plan to meet at the West Events entrance at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Don't be late!
Literacy Center Peer Tutor applications are due by this Friday, May 17that 3: 40. Forms are available in B323 and completed applications can be turned in there or to your English teacher. See Mr. Geocaris or Mrs. Skinner with any questions. Don't miss your chance to be one of our amazing Peer Tutors next year!
To all speech, theatre, drama club, thespians, or tech crew: It's time for our annual banquet celebration, and we need your forms! Please turn in forms and money today to Ms. Carreno or Ms. Rubin asap to ensure your spot! See Ms. Carreno or Ms. Rubin for questions.
CIA Club Members: This Thursday isour end of the year cultural dinner celebration at Aodake Japanese restaurant after school. Please see Mrs. Hud in room A102 for permission slips and further details. Spots are limited to the first 14 to sign up!
Radio Club: This Saturday, May 18 is our annual car wash. Bring a towel for drying cars and meet by the library entrance of school by 10:45 Saturday morning. We'll be wrapping up the car wash at 2:00, but plan to stick around for some celebratory pizza and a movie. This will be our last fundraiser and social event of the year, so don't miss out!
Listen up all DGS poets! South’s last Open Mic of 2013 is right around the corner. This is your last chance to perform any songs, poems, or other brilliance you have been hiding from the limelight. Come get your free copy of 2013’s Calliope, South’s fine arts and literary magazine. See you next Wednesday, May 22nd, after school in D180. Free lit mag, free cake!
ATHLETICS
All girl and boy swimmers, there will be a short meeting in room B 327 on Tuesday May 21stat 7:25 a.m. We will be discussing summer camps and preparation for next year. If you cannot make it to the meeting please see either Coach Krick or Coach Szweda.
